Maureen JOHNSON Obituary

Mum is now at rest. She passed at home on Thursday 4th September 2025, aged 84. We were all with her. Adored wife of the late Doug. Dearly loved mother of Desley, Craig and Nicola, Karly and Tim, Lynley and Jason. Special Nana Doug of Martin, Hayden and Annabel, Nicholas, Emma, Douglas and Oliver, Dylan, Janine, Arthur and Wynn, Leah, Cody and Blake, Jamee, Katelyn, Jesse and the late Sage. Messages may be left online at wabraham.co.nz/notices or posted to the Johnson family, C/- PO Box 4016, New Plymouth 4340. In accordance with Maureen's wishes, a family service has been held.

My sincere condolences to the Johnson family. I had the privilege of working with your Dad and the pleasure of meeting your beautiful Mum. Doug will be overjoyed to have his lovely wife with him.

My father told me the story of the time he went to pick a young Maureen Watts up from her family home. 5 gates to open and close on the way in, with the same on the way back.. Dad's one and only trip to the Watt's.
Sorry to hear of Maureen's passing, a terrific cook which always brightened my day shearing Doug's sheep.
