To Marian and family it was terribly sad to read of Trevor's passing and our sympathy goes out to you all. Trevor was a terrific bloke and it was always a pleasure when you ran into him be it at the police station, Yarrows Stadium, the races or some other community event. He was one of those rarest of human beings who never seemed to have a bad day. You can be rightly proud of the enormous contribution he made to so many communities and organisations in Taranaki and Wanganui. Regards Brian and Jenny Lawlor Gold Coast.

I'm sorry to know Trevor has passed on. I had a lot of respect for his strength and positive attitude.
I worked with Trevor when he was a Youth Aide Officer. He was a diligent supporter of young people who had been in trouble and encouraged them and their family/whanau to take responsibility and resolve issues in their lives. Trevor has been a role model for his children and family and has brought out the best in them.

SMITH, Trevor (Zeke):

It is with great sadness that the Stratford Eltham Rugby Sports Club records the passing of ex player Trevor (Zeke) Smith, a true gentleman and an enthusiastic supporter of our Club. Trevor played in the late 60's and early 70's and was vice-captain of the team that won the Taranaki Senior Championship in 1971. Trevor and the rest of the team celebrated the 50 year anniversary of that win at Our Old Times Day last year. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Marian and the extended family.
