Tui MAXWELL Obituary

Tui and I met in Urenui in our earl teens. We were happy to find ourselves in the same class 3 professional at Waitara high. Along with Elizabeth, Carol Nd Doris we were a happy family. I was saddened to hear of your passing from Doris. We are dwindling in numbers sadly, R.I.P. old friend .Jo

Tui was a happy classmate and friend at Waitara High School - she had a great sense of humour & fun. We occasionally met up while we lived in New Plymouth, 28 years ago. Our sincere condolences to Roger and the family.

Tui and I went to PNTC same year. Last visit was in 2017 when we were in NZ. She was so happy then to show pictures of the family Our prayers are with you all Geraldine(Miller) Campbell

Among many memories I remember Tui relief teaching us at Urenui primary; being a fierce opponent when playing her at Okoki tennis; being the hostess when I attended (with my Mum) a Rural Women's event at your house; and more recently talking with Tui at Mum's funeral 2 years ago. Dear Mrs Maxwell,
Our early childhood and primary education began at Urenui Playcentre and Primary. We were always reminded as to how important those first years would be. We were very lucky and extremely grateful in that we struck the Trifecta at Urenui Prinary, Mrs Dunbar, Mrs Hunter and yourself. The best of the best. We done good and thank you Mrs Maxwell.

To the Maxwell Family, so sorry to hear of Tui's passing, tough times but I know you will get through it.I have very fond memories of her lovely smile. We have a story in our family which is told regularly at family gatherings about Tui a beach and a lost child and we all laugh. Nice memories.

I got a real shock to learn that Tui had passed away quite suddenly. I really enjoyed her company during and after all those years you and I worked together. Unfortunately I haven´t been to Taranaki for a very long time - since we last saw you Deepest sympathy to you all.

We were saddened to hear that Tui had died and send big hugs to all the family. We have fond memories of Tui and we´re always grateful for her kindness to Matt, especially when he and David made huts on the Okoki riverbank and camped out whitebaiting. Tui always came to the rescue with hot showers and huge feeds of bacon and eggs! Matt adored her.
