Victor SURREY Obituary
Victor John passed peacefully after a long illness, surrounded by loving family, on Wednesday 1st December 2021, aged 85 years. Loved youngest son of the late Queenie and Ike Surrey (Huirangi). Much loved brother of Des Surrey (dec), Vera Glentworth, and Madge Cathro. Remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews.
'A patient man, a lover of rugby, bowls, and music, and a great dancer. Victor John will be greatly missed.'
A service for Victor will be held at The Chapel of W. Abraham, 366 Devon Street East, New Plymouth, on Wednesday 8th December 2021 at 11.00am, followed by interment at Huirangi Cemetery at 1.30pm. I meet Victor while putting gutter mesh on his house many years ago and he was so nice to me and invited me to dinner at the local RSA. I can't think if anyone who was as hispitalable as Victor in my 49 years......thanks Victor and RIP.

Very sad to read that Victor John (VJ) has passed away. Many fond memories of times up at Clifton Bowling Club and a dear friend to my parents Barry and Kath Patu. Always bubbly and happy when we would catch up. Vale Victor John, moe mai ra e hoa.
