William BASKETT Obituary

Passed away at Taranaki Base Hospital on Saturday 8 July 2023. Loved partner of Bev; great friend and dad of Karen; Poppa Bill of Shelly, Vicky, and Toni and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends are invited to say goodbye to Bill at 81 Airport Drive, New Plymouth, on Wednesday 12 July 2023 from 11.00am to 12.30pm.

You didn't let us know you were going to step off the planet Billy? Netta and I only found out days later (Sunday 16th) and only after we asked Richard if he'd heard how you were going. We missed your goodbye Billy but you'll be in our thoughts on Friday nights, you've pushed Lenny aside at least and there's be a chair in the middle vacant now. Sad to see you go Billy and we will miss those dry ball but hilarious jokes you'd drop on us. Rest well, our condolences to Bev and family.

So sorry for your sad loss Bev. My thoughts are with you & the family. We always knew when Bill had arrived here in Thames, with "On the road again" turned up high on the car radio. A great bloke.
