To Joan & Family, So sorry to hear of the passing of Bill, Bill was a true gentleman honest & a bloody hard worker. So glad to have spent a bit of time chatting to Bill & Joan when i was in hosp with him a few weeks ago.My thoughts are with you all @ this sad time.

Joan and family-so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. We have been friends for over 60 years. Bill and Joan arrived in Hawera from Scotland the same years as we did from Wellington in 1964. Our special memory is of Bill and Robert playing the Bagpipes on New Years Eve at our daughter Lisa's place to welcome a new life after returning from MS treatment in Russia. Bill was a real gentleman and will be sadly missed by us all. Rest in peace Bill. Lots of love Kevin and Yvonne.

So sad to read today's obituaries, had great pleasure to work with Bill at Fonterra for many years a straight talker...logical thinker a Legend in his field as an electrician and very humorous and proud of his Scottish heritage Condolences to Joan and your beautiful family

Condolances to the family, many great chats with Bill going back 30 years to my days at Fonterra Collingwood St and then at Whareroa, but my special memory was when he played the bagpipes at my great uncles (Peter Murray) farewell. Rest easy Bill.
