Bill and Nancy were dear friends and close neighbours of my parents Max and Dirry Lina (dec) As a very young lad I used to listen and watch in awe at Bill playing his bagpipes. And to this day, some 60 years later....... every time I hear bagpipes, I always think of Bill Cruikshank. My sincere condolences to Anne and Heather and their extended families.

To Anne, Heather and families
My thoughts are with you all on the sad loss of Uncle Bill so soon after Aunty Nancy. He was a champion piper, loyal friend of my late parents Ron & Betty and had a great sense of humour. He was so proud of his girls and grandies - may he rest easy with his lovely Nancy

I worked with Bil and Nancy when they were the managers of the Fitzroy Villas for Tainui Village. Such a super cuple who couldn't do enough for the residents there. RIP both of you - you have earned your rest. Yvonne King

Sending heartfelt sympathy to the Cruickshank family. A wonderfully talented man with a gorgeous, wicked sense of humour. We certainly had some laughs together and of course, the regular offer of "a wee dram". I would tell Bill I was still at work and his reply would always be "that doesn´t matter ". Rest in peace Bill, happily reunited with Nancy.

Many years have passed since playing in the band under Bills Leadership, great days they were. Bills time given to the young pipers has seen many of them continue on playing with different bands spread around the globe. May his legacy continue. RIP Bill
