Sending our condolences to the Norris families, I as a young girl had the privilege of getting my hair cut by Bill, yes straight fringe & straight across the bottom of my long hair, it was a no brainer to my dad ,Dick Taplin to take his daughter with her brothers to get everyone's hair cut together , so do remember sitting on the wooden board , RIP, Bill you will be remembered by so many , from Donna & shayne Hunt

I offer my deepest condolences to Jenny, Pete, and their families,
When I first arrived at Annie Brydons, Bill welcomed me warmly. We reminisced about being in the same bowling team and winning a Taranaki title. We shared memories of various people and events. Now, there is an empty seat at the table, and the conversation feels incomplete without his contributions. Bill will be greatly missed by many.

Bill cut hair for generations of the same family. When I had hair, going to see Bill was always an enjoyable adventure. When he took the wooden board away and you sat in the seat proper, you proclaimed to yourself you are now a man! Condolences to family, he was quite the local legend.

sad to learn of Bill's passing last Tuesday. My personal barber - seems it is forever that he attended to my brown, then grey, then silver, then the few odd locks I now have. The yarns- the stories. Rest in peace Bill Norris- you sure have earned it.

Bill was a great family friend and a great mate of our dad (the late) Roy Hart. They spent many years pig hunting, fishing and whitebaiting around the Taranaki hills and coast. I am thankful for my recent visits to see Bill while he was in care in Hawera and share a few stories of our passion for hunting pigs & deer. RIP Bill....you and Dad will enjoy catching up again. My condolences to Jenny, Pete and Whanau.

To Bill´s family. My sincere condolences to you all. I have known Bill since I was 10 years old, coming out to the Tangahoe Valley with Ron Stone and Ian MacDonald, in the early hours of the morning, to go pig shooting. A lovely kind man with a great sense of humour. You will be missed.

Bill, I will always cherish the so many great memories that I have and shared with you, hunting, fishing, boxing, teacher, coach, mentor and friend. Such a humble man with a huge sense of pride. And sharp as a tack with your humour. You were a great role model.

Bill you were a great fisherman. Those great days we had off the Patea coast will never be forgotten. Your ability to read clouds for the wind to stay safe out at sea was second to none The fillet fish you did was always appreciated.
My sympathy to the family.
May you rest in peace
