William Wayne (Wayne):
Passed suddenly at Waikato Hospital on Monday 21st March 2022, aged 62 years. Dearly loved husband and soulmate of Jane (nee Harris). Much loved father, father-in-law and koko of Jonathan, Ryder; Lisa, Paxton, Armani; Cain, Zoe, Darrell, Bede, Micah; Alex; Tane, Jo, Jahvaya, Layken; Teegan, Jarrod and Jakiah. Loved son of the late Tom and Margaret Ratahi. Cherished brother of Donald (dec), Kevin, Graham, and Chris, and loved uncle to all his nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust. All messages may be sent to 'The Ratahi Family' c/- PO Box 4016, New Plymouth 4340, or left online at wabraham.co.nz/notices. In accordance with Wayne's wishes, a private family farewell has been held.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Wayne. I have fond memories of Wayne especially when we played rugby together in the late 70's and early 80's. He was good sportsman's and a good man. Will miss his smile and his friendly manner. Love and peace to the whanau.

I was in the bed next to Wayne for 2 days prior to his operation at Waikato. In that short time he made a huge impression and I was looking forward to forming a friendship when we're both back in the Naki. Our hearts go out to you Jane. We are just up the road on here for support.

Over the last 3 years since I came back home I have spent many hours in a car with Wayne traveling for darts. His massive smile and infectious laughter will be missed. My condolences go to all his family and those that knew him. Fly high my friend. RIP. Love you
