Ian FOWLIE Obituary

FOWLIE, Ian Alan:
91 years. Peacefully on Saturday 25th July 2020, at Annie Brydon lifecare. Dearly loved soulmate of Mary for 67 years. Treasured father and father-in-law of Richard and Linda (Waverley), Maryrose (Tekapo), Alan (Hokitika), Bruce and Joy (Kakaramea), David and Denise (Ararata), Lyall (deceased), Vannessa and Carl (Rawhitiroa). Admired and adored by his 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Hayden and Ebony for everything they have done, and to the staff at Brydon Court for their care and compassion. A service for Ian will be held at the TSB Hub Camberwell Road, Hawera, Tuesday 4th August 2020, commencing at 1.00pm. Followed by a private burial. You are welcome to join the family for a gathering after the burial at Rough habits from 5.00pm.

just like his elder brother Ian said what he meant and meant what he said his word was his bond !!! no excuses he'd always turned up'' such a wonderful compact family out there at Alton always gracious and helpful never a problem;; In pates i wanted a goose for my harem anyway it ended up sitting on a clutch of eggs and next year faithfully turned up with with a true goose and all the ten geese had a brood of goslings

FOWLIE, Ian:
Alton Olympic Wrestling club honours and acknowledges the passing of Life Member Ian Fowlie on Saturday 25th July 2020. Ian was a life member of our club since 1979. Ian and his family joined the Club in the 60’s. Ian served as Club Treasurer for 40 of those years. In 1997 Ian was presented with a distinguished service award from The New Zealand Olympic Wrestling Club. The Alton Club offers our condolences to the Fowlie family. All Club members that are able are asked to attend a service for Ian to be held at the TSB Hub, Hawera on Tuesday 4th August 2020, commencing at 1pm.
