DRAVITZKI,
Anthony James (Tony):
Peacefully on 10 January 2021 at Taranaki Base Hospital. Loving husband of the late Stephanie. Cherished father and father-in-law of Matthew, Kelly and Hamish Palmer, and Jonathan and Clarissa. In preference to flowers a donation may be made to St John Ambulance Taranaki and left at the service. Messages to the Dravitzki family may be left on Tony's tribute page at eagars.co.nz/tony. Requiem Mass to celebrate the life of Tony will be held at St Joseph's Catholic Church, Powderham Street, New Plymouth, on Monday 18 January 2021 at 10.30am. A private burial will be held.
Rest in Peace.

It was such a shock and great sadness, to hear of the sudden passing, of your special Dad.
Tony was a client of ours for many years, who quickly became a friend,to all of our staff. We never saw Tony without a smile, yet he had been through so much.

Our thoughts are with you at this time. Tony was a larger than life personality. Another Auroa road identity no longer tooting their horn on the way past the front gate.

Hey kids, my sincere sympathy to each of you Tony will be missed. Great friend to Vaughan and the Thomson family. He was toastmaster at my wedding. We are sorry we cannot be with you to offer our condolences at this time. In the days ahead we know there will be many friends gathered around you to offer the same support and love that Tony gave to all. You have lost a wonderful Dad and grandfather. He was also a loving husband to your Mum and together they were a kind and generous couple. A very good friend has now gone but there are some wonderful memories left to share when we next meet.

Deepest Sympathises to you all. My first memory of Tony was as a altar boy for Father Garty, at the little Auroa Catholic Church.
I also recall sharing a few beers with Tony in the Otakeho Pub. Tony never felt the need to dress up standing at the bar in his black bushman singlet and his pance held up by bailing twine!
Both Tony and Stephanie were great community people. Working bees, calf days, and jubilees. Tony was always keen to help. My favourite story of Tony's community's service was building the swimming pool. By this stage Tony was down to one leg, but this didn't hold him back from doing a lot of the organising. If he couldn't get material donated he would get it a mates rates. Tony organised the rooster for pool development, suppling lunches and beers at the end of the day.
I will finish with another story of being at a funeral at Kaponga. A group of us of men were standing catching up after the interment and came on to rain. Casey Eagar kindly offered us a ride back to our cars in the back of hearse. "Like hell" bellowed Tony, "I'm only every going to ride in the back of a hearse once and it is not going to be today!" So we all walked back to our cars getting wet.
Well Tony old friend, tomorrow you will get your ride in the back of Casey's hearse.

Hello Family
We are so shocked at the news that you have lost Dad. I thought he was onto a winner getting home, with everything he had been through.
I am sorry for the pain you must feel and the loss, as you were all so vital in his life, wellbeing and care. The love you showed Dad was so amazing. There will be a huge gap for a long time. It was a pleasure to have known and cared for a wonderful, full of life and cheeky
Man who embraced changes, (I can't say silently) and got on with it. Celebrate his life and know that we are all thinking of you all and your families.
Our best wishes from Barb and the Team at Annie Brydon.
