I worked with Glenda as a midwife in 1983 at National Women's Hospital in my first job overseas. She was a Charge Midife. You always knew where you were with Glenda.

Glenda, you are a very much loved and missed foster mum to Melva, and friend to her partner Nigel. A treasured Nana Glenda to Sam, Kath and Tim, who never forgot a birthday or missed a special event. Kath's midwife and godmother. Caring guardian of Tony. We will miss the love, laughter, and long conversations. Thank you for being the family history keeper, sideline cheerleader, constant teacher and our soft place to come home to. Your legacy will be with us always. Arohanui on your next journey home.

All our love, Melva, Nigel, Tim, Kath and Sam xx

Glenda, you came into our wider family through Ngaire, Aunty Marg and Uncle Basil, with whom you boarded for several years. Your dedication as a Matron at National Women's Hospital for many years, your talent as a successful accountant and an extremely avid photographer of many family occasions will always be with us in our memories of you. Your dedication to your family was well known also. Your last few years were tough but, with your dear friend Allison by your side caring for you, you still had plenty to share. Go in peace, well done Glenda. It was a privilege to have known you. Lorraine

Glenda, we did not think when we said good bye to you last Saturday that it would be for the final time.
The family's Matriarch and glue that bonded us boys has gone. I will miss our daily calls to catch up.
Glenda, thank you for the big place you played in my life growing up even if it was not always appreciated at the time, and the interest and personal touch you showed us as a couple and our family as they grew up and expanded their own families.
Your teachings and love of life live on in many others not just family.
Our memories of you will be forever and we have all the photos to go with it. RIP
Forever in our hearts
Love Neville and Rhonda Jones.
