Death Notice

GREENSILL,
Rodney Seymour Roberts:
'Rod' read his last sheet of music on 7th April 2021 surrounded by his best friend, soulmate and loving wife of 63 years, Annette, his three children, Rhys, Layne and Sara, and his best 'fluffy' friend BJ. Rod lived his life for his family and gave his love to their partners Bridget, Helen and Michael. His greatest pride was being 'Gangang' to Loren, Nicholas, Grace, Lauchlan, Kitty, Harry, Jonathon, and Jack. Additionally, he is survived by his brother Ormond and sister Cynthia. Although a private person, Rod spent his life working for and with many people – most of whom he liked. He regarded the friends made during his time, as a teacher, a counsellor, a mediator, a farmer, a bandsman, a horseman, and a judicial officer of the courts, with utmost pleasure. A learned man, he travelled where he wanted to travel, laughed inappropriately at every chance, was trusted by his friends and lived his life to the fullest. Please show your support and our eternal gratitude to Hospice Taranaki and the unconditional support that they have shown our family, by making a donation in lieu of flowers. Messages to the Greensill family may be left on Rod's tribute page at eagars.co.nz/rod. A service to celebrate Rod's life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth, on Saturday 10th April 2021 at 10.30am, followed by a private cremation.
