Simon BANCE Obituary

BANCE, Simon Patrick:
Sadly our son and brother suffered a massive medical event on Friday, September 4, 2020 in the UK and didn't survive. There will be a service in the future and we hope to be able to watch digitally. We will both miss him dreadfully as will Orla and his three boys. - Judy Bance and Louise Terewaamu

Simon, (Bancy) was a class mate & good friend of mine. Honest, smart, thoughtful, always enthusiastic & though we lost touch years ago I have many fond memories of him from especially down at Waihi Beach when I would stay with my father off Hinemoa st on weekends & holidays & we’d go splash around in the waves, bodysurf, come out, dry off on the warm sand & then back in we’d go time & time again. At other times we’d go down to the local arcade parlor & play some spacies & get a bucks worth of chips. Ahh the good life....!

A really nice, genuine person back then &
I never doubted for a moment he’d change, surely he will be missed & my thoughts are with you, Mrs Bance’s & Louissa, all the best to you & yours!

I met simon and Orla whilst traveling in 2001. He was so much fun to be with and him and Orla were such an amazing couple. We had such a laugh. I stumbled across the news this morning by pure chance and i am devastated. My love goes out to Orla and her boys and anyone else who was close to Simon xxx
