Just learnt of Warren's passing although I knew that he was unwell. My thoughts are with you Carol and family.
Warrren (Sid) and I were colleagues for many years and became close friends and competitive runners. I have many very fond memories of Warrren.

Warren was a wonderful deputy principal at MRGS when I attended as a student ('81 - '83). He was caring and thoughtful.

He got me to push his motorcycle through the school building to hide it in his office.

He also had his lunch stolen when he challenged someone to steal it. He wanted the stealing of lunches to stop, so he attempted to set a challenge/trap to the person stealing the lunches. The very next day his lunch went missing.
When he addressed the assembly about his lunch going missing, besides laughing, he said, "okay, if you want lunch, come and eat lunch with me. No strings, no trouble, just lunch; it's on me."
I don't know if the person took him up on the free lunch, but it was Mr Seastrand to the core to offer someone a helping hand.

I am so sorry that I wasn't able to reconnect before his passing.
I will miss his smirky smile.

Phil.
