DARTMOUTH – Deardra Adams (Lemos) Phillips, lovingly known as “DeeDee,” passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, with her devoted daughters by her side.
Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of the late Geraldyne (Cormier) and her stepfather, William Schofield. DeeDee was raised in South Dartmouth and was a proud graduate of Dartmouth High School.
A lifelong animal lover, DeeDee was passionate about animal rescue and supported numerous shelters throughout her life. Her home was always filled with the joy and companionship of her beloved dogs, who brought her endless comfort and happiness.
DeeDee’s greatest pride and joy, however, was her family, especially her eight grandchildren, whose lives and accomplishments she cherished deeply.
She is survived by her daughters, Trefa White and her husband Robert, and Brooke Hansen and her husband Timothy; as well as her adored grandchildren: Hannah, Benjamin, Tucker, Joshua, Mackenzie, Maddison, Maura, and Jack.
A private graveside service will be held at South Dartmouth Cemetery for immediate family. In Lieu of flowers to honor DeeDee’s life, it would bring her great joy if you made a donation to your local animal rescue.
