Deborah Jan Hill (née Armstrong) passed away peacefully in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, on April 5th, 2025 at the age of 68. She was born on July 23rd, 1956, to Janice Armstrong (née Whitson) and Thomas Armstrong in Marlette, Michigan.
Debbie was raised in Texas; however, she spent much of her time in Independence, Missouri, bonding with her beloved family—siblings, cousins, aunts, and uncles—and always considered Independence to be her home.
She was a devoted wife & homemaker; staying busy with numerous self-taught hobbies; her favorite pastimes included cooking, accounting, sewing, gardening, and home repair. Deborah was a cat fanatic, cared for several strays in the area and kept many of her own throughout the years.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jeffrey E. Hill; her three daughters, Jana Plante, Jackie Tanner, and Kelly Marshall Richards; her three stepchildren, Ryan Hill, Nick Hill, and Jena Hill Bennett along with their spouses & children; two sisters, Patricia Armstrong Sparkman and Cindy McDowell; her brother, Michael Armstrong; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In heaven, she is reunited with her mother, Janice Armstrong; her father, Thomas Armstrong; her brothers, Terry Armstrong and Duwayne Armstrong; her sister, Joann Armstrong Carter; as well as many treasured aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Debbie will be missed dearly by all.
