William Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barton Family Funeral Service of Edmonds on Apr. 5, 2025.
William Allan "Bill" Johnson 87 passed peacefully in Bellevue, WA on February 18, 2025. He was born March 9, 1937, in Camas WA, to Elmer Norman and Rita Marie (Lamourex) Johnson. He
grew up with his two brothers Emmett and Don (passed). He graduated from Camas High School and attended the University of Washington on a football scholarship. (Theta Chi Fraternity). He later earned his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Western Washington
University. He began teaching and coaching football and tennis at Sealth High School in Seattle.
In 1966, Bill married Mary Anne Ludwigson, his wife of 58 years. Together they raised their daughters Kristan Annemarie and Jennifer Anne with love and devotion. Their daughter's
brought great joy to Bill and were central to his heart. Bill had many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members that were an important part of his life. He enjoyed family trips including skiing, boating, golf, tennis and warm winters in the desert. He had lifelong friends,
college friends and professional friends throughout the years. Each was appreciated by him in a special way. Bill was an outgoing person, friendly to all and sadly missed by all that knew him.
Bill later moved into the real estate world in property management, shopping center
development, owner of Redmond Realty and from there to private investing on his own or with his partners. His positive personality, gracious attitude and real estate knowledge served him well, as he developed commercial properties. He enjoyed the challenge.
Bill, in later years, built his dream home on Orcas Island. It was completed in 2003. He loved the island life and appreciated all amenities that came with it. Those included family, friends,
entertaining, boating, fishing, crabbing, beach walks, beautiful sunsets and warm fires in the winter. He could not have asked for more – neither could we!
We Love You,
Bill Rest in Peace,
Mary, Kristan, Jenny
