Carol Myles Obituary

Carol Myles
December 14, 1948 - July 10, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce after a two year fight with leukemia, Carol Myles passed away on July 10. Carol was born and raised in Petaluma CA. She attended Petaluma High School where she met Andy Myles. In July 1969, they were married and this month would be their 56th anniversary. Shortly after they were married, they moved to Penngrove where she lived for the rest of her life. Carol graduated from Sonoma State with a teaching degree. She did substitute teaching for a while. Later she switched careers and went to work for a landscape design company. After working there for a few years, she opened her own business, Myles Design, designing landscaping and irrigation systems. She enjoyed gardening, hiking with friends and meeting up with friends at the gym. She also became interested photography and along with her interest in wildlife and a passion of capturing them in their natural habitat, she started taking photos of different animals. After Carol and Andy retired, they took weekly trips to Point Reyes National Seashore. She captured many amazing photos of wildlife. This led her to publish a book with a collection of her favorite photos "Myles of Wildlife". Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren, she would play games with them such as make believe, legos, cards, etc. Also, she created a children's book especially for them. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Pellascio. She is survived by her husband Andy, sons Fred (Niki) Myles, Joe (Kelly) Myles, sister Barbara (Ken) Markham, sister-in-law Margret Shepard, grandchildren Desmond, Annemarie, Gabrielle, McKenzie and Annabelle Myles and several nieces and nephews. In memory of Carol, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
